Beads used in the Frog Pak kits.

Frog Pak is a creativity kit.  Use it for stringing, bead weaving, or bead embroidery.  Send me a picture of your creation and I will post it on this page.

Contents include:

2 tree frog lampwork beads

8mm black freshwater pearls - 13 pc

8mm turquoise - 3 pc

6mm chrysocolla that has a rustic look like handmade - 10 pc

4mm rounds: dk green aventurine, peach aventurine, onyx or green jade, carnelian

5 kinds of fancy seed beads

(and some lumpy tiger eye, sorry, use them or toss them!)

I just added several inches of good tiger eye and about 25 pieces of beautiful turquoise rondells (see additional picture above)!

You add: your imagination, needle, thread, clasp if needed.  Send me a picture of your completed work, and I will post it here.

There are enough lampwork and semiprecious beads to string a necklace of 22” without using the seed beads.  The seed beads would add several more inches.  Add some black size 11 seed beads, or your favorite coordinating color/s, and make a bead weaving or bead embroidery creation all your own.  Beginners can easily use this kit for stringing, and intermediate to advanced level beaders will be stimulated by the possibilities of this kit.  A great gift for all levels!

OK, I couldn’t resist.  One of the frogs was missing an eye.  Can’t sell that.  So I took the one-eyed frog, the leftover beads, and a few other things from my stash, and decided to make an embroidered piece to hide the missing eye.  As I pondered where to start, I suddenly wondered if I could make a Juliet beaded pendant using the frog lampwork.  It worked!  A little wonky, but I like it.  Goodbye embroidery, hello pendant.  Here are some pictures:  Pendant front, pendant back, 1st pass around the necklace, finished project after the 3rd pass and some fringe. You are welcome to use my design, but I’d rather see your own ideas.  Send pictures of your creation!
